Personal Training is THE best way to get the most of your workouts. Working with a Personal Trainer means your efforts will be guided with laser-like precision to ensure every time you train, you move another step closer to your ultimate fitness or weight loss goal. Luke Rennie is a highly qualified and experienced Personal Trainer working in Zürich whose life goal is to help you achieve the fitness results you have always dreamed of.

What is Personal Training?

Personal Training involves working one-to-one with your Fitness Coach. Each workout is designed specifically to address your fitness goals, your current fitness level, and take into account your exercise preferences. It doesn’t matter if you are an exercise novice who dreams of one day running a marathon, or an experienced exerciser training for a particular sport, Personal Training with Luke Rennie will ensure you get the best possible results from your training time.

Luke has an extensive range of exercise experience on which he can draw to create your personalised workout program. He doesn’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to exercise but, instead, uses many variables to ensure your program is right for you.

Using a variety of exercise approaches including TRX suspension training, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, free-weight compound exercises, and even drills from boxing and martial arts, your workout will be as fun and varied as it is productive.

With Luke as your Personal Fitness Coach, you will receive hands-on expert instruction, correction if required, and learn the right way to perform the exercises in your workouts. You’ll also experience Luke’s constant motivation and encouragement which will drive you forward to reach your personalised health and fitness goals.

What makes Personal Training with Luke so good?

Luke is a lifelong exercise enthusiast and doesn’t just talk the talk; he walks the walk too. He has studied martial arts since childhood and is a surfer at heart. He has a wealth of knowledge about exercise and training that extends beyond the theory; Luke practices what he preaches.

Highly qualified and with his intimate knowledge of exercise and training, Luke is a master at pushing and motivating his extensive client base to achieve higher levels of performance but always keeping health, safety, and enjoyment in mind.

While he is the ultimate professional, Luke Rennie is also friendly, personable, and very enthusiastic about helping people reach their fitness goals. Training with Luke can be tough at times – productive exercise often is – but it’s also enjoyable, fun, and very rewarding.

When and where?

For your convenience, you can book your training session by logging onto the schedule page up to 28 days in advance. The diary fills up fast so make sure you book up soon to get your preferred time and day. It is recommended that you exercise two, three, or more days per week and follow a regular timetable of workouts. This ensures that you make the progress you want and reach your fitness goals as quickly as possible.

Sessions are typically conducted in Luke’s private Personal Training Studio at Friedaustrasse 12 in Zürich but, if you prefer, you can exercise outdoors at one of three nearby parks that are within a few minutes’ walk of Albisriederplatz.

What to wear?

Training in the privacy of the Studio means you don’t have to worry about fitness fashion trends and are free to wear whatever exercise clothing you find comfortable. Make sure your shoes match your workout, though – clean, indoor shoes for studio-based workouts and outdoor shoes for training outside. For outdoor workouts, dress in layers so you can easily regulate your body temperate as you heat up. A hat and gloves are also a must on cold days. Don’t worry about the rain, one of the outdoor training venues is covered.

What to bring?

You don’t need to bring a lot with you for Personal Training; all exercise equipment is supplied. However, for your comfort, make sure you bring a sweat towel, an exercise mat or folded towel to lie on, a water bottle and water to stay hydrated, and your weight training gloves if you like to wear them for strength training.

How to get started?

Personal Training works best when the trainer and the client communicate effectively, and both parties know exactly what to expect from the session. To get the ball rolling, Luke starts every new client with an initial Health and Fitness Assessment during which he will discuss your fitness goals, your medical history, your exercise experience, and your general lifestyle.

Once the initial assessment is complete, and armed with this information, Luke will create a workout that is unique and designed to meet your goals and fitness level. Your first workouts will further evaluate your abilities and set the foundation for all future training. As you get fitter, the program will evolve to ensure you make continuous progress. This answers that age-old question – does exercise ever get any easier. The answer is no; it’s just that you can do more exercise and work harder!
